Founded 2026 · Philippines

Built from zero.
On purpose.

A designer eyewear label founded in the Philippines, built with a long-term view, and committed to making things once — the right way.

The beginning

One conviction.
One category.

Guad Amano started with a question: why does premium eyewear in the Philippines mean importing a brand from abroad, or choosing between fast-fashion frames and unattainable luxury?

The answer was to build something different. A local label with international standards. Controlled production. Considered design. No shortcuts.

Capsule No. 01 is 150 pieces. That’s not a limitation — it’s the whole point.

Cyrus Chua on why this exists

“I wanted to make something I’d actually wear. Something I could stand behind. Not a logo, not a brand name — a frame that’s worth what it costs.”

Cyrus Chua founded Guad Amano with a clear philosophy: build something designed to last, produced with care, and priced honestly.

The name Guad Amano is personal. A marker — a reminder that this came from a specific person, in a specific place, at a specific time, with a specific intention.

That intention doesn’t change with the season.

What we stand for

Three principles.
No exceptions.

01
Design integrity over trend
Every frame is designed to be worn in five years without looking dated. We don’t follow cycles. We follow form.
02
Scarcity by commitment
Limited quantities aren’t a marketing play. They’re a production discipline. When a design sells out, it’s done. That promise means something.
03
Honest materials, honest pricing
Premium cellulose acetate, UV-protected lenses, precision hardware. The price reflects what’s in the frame, not what’s on the label.
How frames are made

From idea to your hands.

01
Design
Each frame begins as a sketch — refined across weeks until the proportions feel right. Restrained, architectural, built to last.
02
Material selection
Cellulose acetate sheets selected for color consistency. UV lenses specified per frame. Hardware tested for longevity before production begins.
03
Small-batch production
30 pieces per design. Hand-polished edges, precision beveling, barrel hinges fitted to tolerance.
04
Packaging & dispatch
Every frame ships in a rigid matte case. No excess. The packaging reflects the same standard as the product inside.
Our intention

“We’re not building a sunglasses brand. We’re building something worth wearing in ten years.”
