Built from zero.
On purpose.
A designer eyewear label founded in the Philippines, built with a long-term view, and committed to making things once — the right way.
One conviction.
One category.
Guad Amano started with a question: why does premium eyewear in the Philippines mean importing a brand from abroad, or choosing between fast-fashion frames and unattainable luxury?
The answer was to build something different. A local label with international standards. Controlled production. Considered design. No shortcuts.
Capsule No. 01 is 150 pieces. That’s not a limitation — it’s the whole point.
Cyrus Chua on why this exists
“I wanted to make something I’d actually wear. Something I could stand behind. Not a logo, not a brand name — a frame that’s worth what it costs.”
Cyrus Chua founded Guad Amano with a clear philosophy: build something designed to last, produced with care, and priced honestly.
The name Guad Amano is personal. A marker — a reminder that this came from a specific person, in a specific place, at a specific time, with a specific intention.
That intention doesn’t change with the season.
Three principles.
No exceptions.
From idea to your hands.
“We’re not building a sunglasses brand. We’re building something worth wearing in ten years.”
